This agreement is intended to confirm the Strickland MFG Ltd after-sales commitment.

Strickland MFG are proud of both our products and the quality of service we offer, and are confident that our products will work efficiently and effectively, provided they are used in conjunction with our recommendations and guidelines for use & maintenance.

WARRANTY

In the case of the Strickland S-LOCK Hitch only, the period of warranty against frame defects in design, materials or manufacture is

For Hitches 5T and above: 36 months or 6000 hours (whichever occurs first).

For Hitches 3T and below: 12 months or 2000 hours.

This includes the main body, frame & moving jaw.

12 months warranty is offered on the Hydraulic ram. Hydraulic pipework must be signed off at point of fitment. If it is confirmed at this time that there is no leaks or faults, no further warranty will be offered on the pipes.

Labour is covered for the first 12 months.

One of our engineers may contact you directly if more specific notes are required. Be assured that this is in the best interest of a prompt resolution.

SERVICE ENGINEERS

We will respond to your request for repair in one of the following ways;

By locating and instructing one of our network of independent service agents. Strickland MFG will establish the problem and allocate the appropriate service engineer to come to site. We will inform you prior to them coming out when you can expect them on site. o By instructing an external agent, a suitably qualified hydraulic engineer, where we can be reasonably satisfied that the problem relates to a hydraulic component such as a solenoid.

By sending an engineer from our facility in Tyrone. This response method will be slower and therefore we shall only use this option where the problem is more complex and beyond the scope of the UK based engineers.

In the event that Strickland MFG Ltd is unable to attend the site to resolve the situation within the agreed time span, it is agreed that you, The Customer, can attend the site to rectify the issue at the rates agreed below. You must obtain an order number from Strickland Direct Ltd prior to visiting the site. On completion of the job, you will submit a full engineers report to Strickland MFG Ltd, confirming the serial number of the Strickland Product repaired and providing detailed breakdown of the work carried out, components used and any photographs available. You are also to provide a point of contact that Strickland MFG Ltd can liaise with. This is to ensure the speedy resolution of the situation.

Agreed Service Charge Cap

Travel - £40.00 per hour

Mileage - £0.70 per mile

Labour - £40.00 per hour

Prices exclude VAT Agreed Time Scale Cap

Coupler Replacement Fitting – 2 hours

Coupler Cylinder Change – 1 hour

Coupler Ram Guard Fitting – 30 minutes

Coupler Hook Fitting – 30 minutes

ALL ENGINEERS MUST CARRY THE CORRECT TOOLS TO COMPLETE THE TASKS WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME. PLEASE ENSURE THIS IS THE CASE BEFORE A CALL OUT IS MADE ON YOUR BEHALF. WARRANTY FAILURE

Where it is proven to us that the repair falls outside the warranty terms, the following will apply;

Once we have completed the work, we will present evidence of our findings, using engineer’s reports and photograph’s, where required. We will seek reimbursement of our costs in accordance with our rates.

Where we have not completed the work, we will ask you for your comments and agree to –

Strickland MFG Ltd proceeding with the repair at the agreed rates … or

You/Your Customer carrying out the repairs, at your cost

In the event of You carrying out the repair, Strickland MFG Ltd may apply a charge for the initial visit to establish the problem. If we do have to apply a charge, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
